"
PhoD-like phosphatase
".

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Alkaline phosphatase D (PhoD)

Alkaline phosphatase D (PhoD) PMID:8760916 catalyses the reaction: phosphate monoester + H(2)O = an alcohol + phosphate. PhoD is similar to Ca(2+)-dependent phospholipase D PMID:17906150, which catalyses the hydrolysis of the ester bond between the phosphatidic acid and alcohol moieties of phospholipids PMID:15588701,PMID:12519726.
