Hydroquinone glucosyltransferase. [EC: 2.4.1.218]
UDP-glucose + hydroquinone = UDP + hydroquinone-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside.
  • Hydroquinone is the most effective acceptor, but over 40 phenolic compounds are also glucosylated, but at lower rates.
