Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Chromosome segregation protein Spc25

Structural domains comprising this superfamily share the structure of chromosome segregation protein 25, a conserved eukaryotic kinetochore protein involved in cell division. In fungi the Spc25 protein is a subunit of the Nuf2-Ndc80 complex PMID:15728720, whilst in vertebrates it forms part of the Ndc80 complex PMID:14738735.
