CATH Superfamily 3.30.390.30
FAD/NAD-linked reductase, C-terminal dimerisation domain
The name of this superfamily has been modified since the most recent official CATH+ release (v4_4_0). At the point of the last release, this superfamily was: waiting to be named.
3.30.390.30
superfamily
This superfamily represents the C-terminal domain in FAD- and NAD-linked reductases, which participates to dimerisation. This structural domain has a core alpha+beta sandwich structure consisting of beta(3,4)-alpha(3). The first two domains are of the same beta/beta/alpha fold. This domain can be found in several reductases such as: glutathione, trypanothione, thioredoxin, putidaredoxin reductases PMID:3656429,PMID:2355009,PMID:18300227,PMID:15299452,PMID:8771196,PMID:11481439,PMID:15095867, apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF), which contains a beta-hairpin loop insertion involved in its apoptogenic functions PMID:11967568,PMID:12198487, dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase (also known as dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase) PMID:8805537, NADH peroxidases PMID:7766608,PMID:1942054, biphenyl 2,3-dioxygenase, ferredoxin reductase (also known as NADH-dependent ferredoxin reductase, BphA4) PMID:11090282, 2-oxopropyl-CoM reductase (also known as NADH-dependent 2-ketopropyl coenzyme M oxidoreductase/carboxylase) PMID:12390015, flavocytochrome c sulphide dehydrogenase (FCSD), the flavin-binding subunit INTERPRO:IPR015323, INTERPRO:IPR037092,PMID:7939681.
