Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Hmd, C-terminal helical subdomain

H2-forming methylenetetrahydromethanopterin dehydrogenase (Hmd) is an iron-sulphur cluster-free hydrogenase that contains an intrinsic CO ligand bound to iron. This superfamily represents the C-terminal domain of Hmd. The two helical subdomains form the central globular unit of the Hmd homodimer.
