FunFam 14: Multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase 1

There are 2 EC terms in this cluster

Please note: EC annotations are assigned to the full protein sequence rather than individual protein domains. Since a given protein can contain multiple domains, it is possible that some of the annotations below come from additional domains that occur in the same protein, but have been classified elsewhere in CATH.

Note: The search results have been sorted with the annotations that are found most frequently at the top of the list. The results can be filtered by typing text into the search box at the top of the table.

EC Term Annotations Evidence
Multiple inositol-polyphosphate phosphatase. [EC: 3.1.3.62]
Myo-inositol hexakisphosphate + H(2)O = myo-inositol pentakisphosphate (mixed isomers) + phosphate.
  • Also acts on Ins(1,3,4,5)P(4) to yield Ins(1,4,5)P(3).

2,3-bisphosphoglycerate 3-phosphatase. [EC: 3.1.3.80]
2,3-bisphospho-D-glycerate + H(2)O = 2-phospho-D-glycerate + phosphate.
  • This reaction is a shortcut in the Rapoport-Luebering shunt.
  • It bypasses the reactions of EC 5.4.2.11/EC 5.4.2.12 and directly forms 2-phospho-Dglycerate by removing the 3-phospho-group of 2,3- diphospho-Dglycerate.
  • The MIPP1 protein also catalyzes the reaction of EC 3.1.3.62.
