NFRKB winged helix-like domain
".

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: NFRKB winged helix-like domain

Structural domains comprising this superfamily share the structure of recently identified winged helix-like domain, found in nuclear factor related to kappa-B-binding (NFRKB) proteins. NFRKB is a component of the metazoan INO80 complex involved in chromatin remodelling, transcription regulation, DNA replication and DNA repair. This winged helix-like domain is however not involved in DNA binding but is instead thought to be involved in protein-protein interactions PMID:22984442.
